Viglen Launches ClassLink 4
At
BETT 2002, Viglen introduced its latest version of
ClassLink 4 - Viglen's schools network administration
and training software solution.
A
previous winner of the School Management Award at BETT
for its proven effect on school and student management,
ClassLink is a powerful ICT tool, enabling teacher/pupil
communication in classrooms, with key features including
Remote Learning and Remote Support.
Building
on the successful ClassLink 3, Viglen has worked alongside
a range of user groups, teachers and students and
used their feedback to develop ClassLink 4. Suitable
for client /server network installations, ClassLinkT
4 provides features specifically designed to simplify
the rebuilding of PCs. ClassLink 4 is built on a Microsoft®
Windows® NT based system and has been designed for
schools not yet ready to move to ClassLink 2000 and
Microsoft® Windows® 2000 operating systems.
A
major new feature is the Viglen ClassLink Imager,
which streamlines the deployment of operating systems,
application updates and user settings to both desktop
and portable computing. Thiis means a reduction in
installation time, therefore reducing cost of ownership.
Bordan
Tkachuk, Chief Executive of Viglen, commented: "With
ClassLink 4 we have built on ClassLink 3 and enhanced
centralised management capabilities, facilitating
Viglen's strong emphasis on remote support and managed
services."
