Greene Consulting extends Deployment of TopClass
TopClass used to power SkillMark™, an Internet-Based
Training Solution to meet the needs of the Financial
Services Industry.
WBT Systems today announced that Greene Consulting,
the Financial Services PTO (Professional Training
Organisation), have extended their licence for WBT
System's software for 3 years. This licence extension
will allow Greene to build upon the success they have
already achieved with their leading web-based training
solution, SkillMark, which is powered by the TopClass
e-Learning Suite.
Greene
Consulting specialises in the financial services industry,
developing a wide variety of training content for
leading financial institutions around the world. As
a PTO, Greene develops specialised content for delivery
over a hosted system, enabling customers to take immediate
benefit of the coursework without having to invest
in setting up and administering a complete e-Learning
environment.
Skillmark leverages TopClass technology not only to
provide secure access to this content but to provide
learners with exactly the content and tools they need
to support themselves in their jobs. "TopClass was
the ideal e-Learning suite for us." said David Greene,
Principal at Greene Consulting. "Being a PTO, we have
certain requirements that are paramount, and had to
approach these without compromise. The system needed
to be open, so that it fitted into our existing architecture
and could be integrated with our other systems. It
had to have an interface that could be fully customised,
in our case to reflect the Skillmark brand and meet
the exact needs of our customers. In addition, it
was necessary for it to be scalable so that it could
meet the demands of our quickly growing customer base.
However, more than this, it was necessary for us to
choose a solution that we were confident was from
a long term player in the e-Learning space."
Greene
Consulting recently surveyed users on their experiences
of the SkillMark system. This confirmed that learners
preferred the online experience provided by TopClass
compared to traditional classroom methods by a factor
of 9 to 1. "Greene's study shows that with great content,
a well structured implementation and World class e-Learning
software you can remove the barriers to change and
get a workforce that is not only more knowledgable,
sooner, but is also happier with the way they can
manage their own learning processes" said Duncan Lennox,
CTO of WBT Systems.
