Electric Paper named in ‘Technology Fast 50’ Awards
Electric Paper (EP), the Dublin based e-learning company
was ranked the fifth fastest growing technology company
in Ireland at the recent Deloitte & Touche Technology
Fast 50 Awards.
The Fast 50 Awards programme recognises, rewards and
raises the profile of the fastest growing technology
companies in Europe, based on their percentage growth
in revenue over a three year period. The winners were
unveiled on 9th April during a high-profile technology,
media and telecommunications conference and awards
ceremony held in Paris.
Over the past three years, EP has grown rapidly -
doubling both its turnover and employee numbers within
the past 12 months - and has opened offices in the
UK, Canada, USA and Australia, facilitating the company’s
development into a number of new markets. EP has also
broadened its product range and now has a suite of
solutions for multiple needs in the IT literacy area,
uniquely providing computer based training, assessment
and testing solutions as part of an integrated package.
Jonny Parkes, EP’s managing director, said: “We have
had a strong year across all our international markets
and are delighted that this growth has been recognised
through this prestigious awards programme. Our business
model is based on self-funded organic growth and this
has proved to be a successful strategy for us as it
allows us to grow quickly while maintaining profitability.
Our growth into new markets and our broadening range
of products positions us well to maintain strong levels
of growth in the years ahead."
“I
would like to congratulate Riverdeep on securing the
top award and to thank Deloitte & Touche for facilitating
this highly regarded Awards programme. Riverdeep’s
top ranking reflects the strength of the e-learning
industry today and Ireland’s leadership in this space
internationally,” he added.
This
is the second major award that EP has picked up this
year. In February, EP received the ‘International
Training Project of the Year’ Award at the Institute
of IT Training Awards 2002. The company received the
award for its provision of IT literacy training to
3,000 childcare workers across the state of Queensland
in Australia.
