WBT Systems Builds Upon Success with ICE Telecommunicaciones
Upgrades to Latest Release of TopClass™, Renews Contract,
Expands Deployment.

Systems today announced that Costa Rica’s largest
Telecommunications & Utility company, ICE Telecommunicaciones,
has implemented TopClass 6, the latest release of
WBT Systems' TopClass eLearning Suite™, to manage
and deliver their entire e-Learning programme.
ICE
Telecommunicaciones is responsible for the development
and operation of the Costa Rican National Telecommunications
System. Since its beginning, ICE has provided the
country with a wide range of services to respond to
changing needs. Today, Costa Rica has greater than
94% telephone coverage, placing it first among Central
American nations and second among nations including
South America.
The TopClass e-Learning Suite is the cornerstone of
ICE’s e-Learning strategy as it enables the organisation
to deliver training that is personalized to the individual
user while providing powerful tools for the management
of learning content.
Internet-based
training, delivered by TopClass, is used in a blended
learning approach to enhance ICE’s classroom and technology-based
training for product, business process, management,
and IT training across their extended enterprise.
Similar to most companies in the fast moving telecommunications
sector, ICE’s challenge is to ensure all employees
are consistently trained to the high standards the
industry demands.
