ebc Induction Toolkit launched at e-learning London 2002

ebc has created a cost effective alternative to bespoke online induction programmes, which is being officially launched at e-learning London at Wembley, 28th-29th May.

Although there will clearly be distinctions in each case, most organisations have the same fundamental induction requirements. ebc has developed an integrated Toolkit that can provide organisations with a company-specific online induction at a fraction of the cost of fully bespoke programmes.

The toolkit apparently delivers 80% of the framework and generic content, the learning design team creates all remaining materials and the programme is further customised with client branding.

The online induction is described as cost effective for an organisation with more than 1500 employees or those recruiting 20 new members of staff per month. Branded with corporate logos, solutions incorporate links to any existing tracking or learning management system to ensure completion and assessment. All programmes are hosted for one year by ebc and include full technical support.

Graham Mackie, director at ebc said: "Induction is the hot topic for e-learning at the moment. Many of the people we have been speaking with recently are using induction programmes as a way of introducing their organisations to e-learning. This is a sensible approach, as inductions do lend themselves particularly well to online delivery."

"Obviously a bespoke induction programme is preferable, however, some organisations are working with limited budgets at the moment. Our Induction Toolkit gives these organisations a lower cost approach, without losing the major benefits of a custom programme."
