eLearning
Network caps meetings
The eLearning Network (eLN), has taken the unprecedented
step of having to impose a ceiling of 100 delegates
at each of its six meetings, held throughout the year
in London.
The eLN’s previous three meetings have attracted audiences
in excess of 80 delegates and demand for places at
these conferences is increasing, with the eLN’s May
meeting attracting the maximum number of delegates:
100.
Vaughan
Waller, chairman of the eLN, said: “ eLN members suggest
topics for the one-day conferences and we then select
from these subjects for debate that are both relevant
and help to advance thinking and best practice in
this sector. We are delighted that so many practitioners
in this field seem to agree with these choices – and
care enough about these subjects to come along and
contribute to the debates.
“We
have had to impose a maximum of 100 delegates at each
of our meetings in order to ensure that everyone has
the chance to participate fully and gain the maximum
benefit from the day. However, anyone who is unable
to attend can see a full report of each meeting by
visiting the ELN website.”
Recent
previous conferences have dealt with: ‘where knowledge
management meets e-learning’; ‘learning culture’,
and ‘managing learning’.
The next ELN meeting – on Friday 26th July, at the
Society for Chemistry and Industry, 14-15 Belgrave
Square, London – will examine ‘how to pick the right
media’.
