Norwegian training provider Smartlearning has signed a $1 million agreement to distribute SmartForce e-Learning solutions in Scandinavia and to localise e-Learning content in Norwegian and Danish. Under the agreement, Smartlearning will market and sell SmartForce’s comprehensive, results-focused learning solutions featuring award-winning content, technology and services.

"The Scandinavian region is a mature e-Learning market and, as such, is prepared for the advanced, results-focused solutions that only SmartForce can bring,” said Morten Horness, chairman of Smartlearning. “This agreement will enable us to accelerate our pace in the Scandinavian market and will give customers the tools to drive their core business processes.”

"Our agreement with Smartlearning is aimed at delivering the results that companies require to stay competitive,” said Paul Henry, senior VP at SmartForce. “We believe our comprehensive learning solutions coupled with Smartlearning's experience in Norway and Denmark will expand SmartForce’s international reach and make a big impact in helping companies in the region achieve significant results.”

The Scandinavian market traditionally boasts high rates of Internet usage and is keenly focused on the continuing education of its workforces. These factors have fueled significant growth and maturity of the e-Learning market in this region.

SmartForce chose Smartlearning as a distribution partner because of its strong position in this market, its competence in delivering blended learning solutions and its local value added services.
