WBT
Systems Offers Content Re-Use With New Version of
TopClass Publisher
Rapid Content Development and Assembly Tool Supports
Latest Versions of Leading Open Standards for e-Learning.
WBT
Systems today announced the latest release of TopClass
Publisher, which brings support up to Version 1.2
of the SCORM specification. Significantly, SCORM 1.2
Export in TopClass protects customers e-Learning investment
by making all content created, assembled or imported
into the system SCORM compliant. This
ensures it will work with any other Learning Management
System or Learning Content Management System that
is also SCORM compliant.
Publisher offers tools and templates that allow experts
in the field to rapidly author content, along with
features and functions that provide true re-use of
Learning Objects from the TopClass repository. "The
extensive publishing tool and reusable-object structure
has reduced our design and development time by 40%"
said Stuart Williams, Director of the Excellus Project
at Syracuse University."The
reusable object environment lets us design adaptive
learning into the system from the beginning, minimizing
costly modifications later in the development cycle",
he explained.
"The ADL has been enormously successful in building
SCORM into a practical and workable set of specifications
that can deliver significant flexibility and future
proofing to e-Learning programs, and we are proud
to be involved in that process" said Duncan Lennox,
CTO of WBT Systems.
