Simulation
Based Learning Objects technology launched
TATA Interactive Systems has developed a new e-learning
technology – called ‘Simulation Based Learning Objects’
- in association with the University of Phoenix in
Arizona.
Sambit
Mohapatra, the head of TIS in the UK, commented: “TIS’s
collaboration with the University of Phoenix has already
produced six generic e-learning programmes using Simulation
Based Learning Objects. These
programmes cover topics including marketing structures
and inventory management. “Simulation Based Learning
Objects provide learners with an engaging and highly
motivating way to interact with e-learning materials,
greatly enhancing the learning experience and increasing
the retention of information,” he added. “Now that
we have developed this technology and tested its worth
by producing some generic courseware that uses Simulation
Based Learning Objects, we will be applying this impressive
learning technology to our main business activities:
building bespoke e-learning solutions.”
