LINE
Helps 02 UK Maintain Network Performance
LINE Communications Group is helping O2 UK, one of
Britain's largest mobile network operators in one
of its key strategic imperatives; network quality.
LINE has successfully developed a training programme
that will allow every one of the company's employees
to monitor, diagnose and report network performance
The
20 minute intranet delivered e-learning module, will
allow employees to use the latest ETM (Engineering
Test Mode) technology to access detailed location
and performance data. This information can then be
quickly analysed by technical staff in order to diagnose
any performance problems, restoring maximum coverage
more quickly.
O2
UK has made the technology available on every employee's
mobile phone, and LINE's learning module explains
how to access the information quickly and simply.
Speed
to market was a central consideration in the implementation
of this project and the intranet delivered training
programme was conceptualised, designed and developed
in under four weeks. It was important to develop a
solution, which provided a worthwhile learning experience,
coupled with an appropriate level of interactivity.
One
of the functions developed by LINE was an interactive
quiz at the end of the module, which allowed individuals
to print out a certificate, providing they reached
the desired competence.
Piers Lea, CEO of LINE says, 'In the increasingly
competitive UK mobile communications market, network
performance is seen as being a key differentiator,
and vital to continued customer satisfaction. LINE's
e-learning module is helping to ensure that all staff
play a part in maintaining and improving this vital
area.'
