Electric
Paper launches ECDL training materials for XP users
Electric Paper is launching a Microsoft Office XP
suite version of its European/International Computer
Driving Licence (ECDL/ICDL) computer-based training,
assessment and testing programme.
Electric
Paper’s XP courseware for ECDL/ICDL, which is fully
approved by the ECDL Foundation, is available in CD-ROM,
LAN and Intranet versions. It contains built-in assessments
help to determine students’ levels of competency before,
during and after training.
James
Evans, of Electric Paper, commented: “According to
the American Institute for Research, users of Windows
XP are up to 25 per cent more productive than users
of Windows 2000 while doing common business tasks.
However, these efficiency gains will only be realised
if users are familiar with the functionality and can
use their information technology skills to get the
best out of the software. In
addition, upgrades to applications can be disruptive
and can place a burden on support staff. By
clearly highlighting the differences between Office
XP and Office 2000, Electric Paper makes it easier
for users to learn XP thereby reducing the support
effort and costs”.
This addition to Electric Paper’s existing range of
IT literacy training products will be on display at
Electric Paper’s exhibition stand at the Learning
Technologies event, taking place at London’s Olympia
2 on 29th and 30th January 2003.
